Courtois is a lovely old stone cottage which has just been refurbished by its new owners. It is a haven of tranquillity, peacefully tucked away in a very sheltered south facing combe of the Lot River valley with stunning views over the river 200 feet below. Le Fel is 1 mile and Entraygues 5 miles along the river.
The entrance is accessed by beautiful old stone steps with a lovely curved terrace by the front door to catch the early morning sun. The door opens into an open living area comprising of, at one end, comfortable settees in front of an inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove. The other end has a new kitchen and a dining area with a window overlooking the beautiful River Lot below. There is UK satellite TV and DVD.
Off the living room area is a twin-bedded room with access through to the terraced garden and swimming pool. There is a separate toilet and a bathroom. Adjacent stairs also lead off the living room to a large double bedded room with en-suite bathroom and shower. By way of access from outside is the third large bedroom which has its own sitting area and en-suite bathroom. It also has its own small terrace with sitting area overlooking the oval pool and walled garden terrace, decorated with pots of Geraniums and Begonias. 3 acre terraced grounds are all enclosed by grape vines, trumpet vines, and many other well established shrubs. A small woodland picnic area is within the gardens of this property. All linen and towels are provided. There is a laundry room and ample parking.
Three couples can enjoy the house and its gardens without continually living in each other’s space and enjoy the serenity of the surrounding countryside.
