Perched on a hilltop above the Lot gorges is Golinach which is on the pilgrim’s path of St Jacques De Compestello.

In the heart of this dramatically positioned village is La Cachette - a beautifully restored house which has been lovingly renovated and extended by its owners and with all modern facilities makes for a very comfortable and spacious house.

It sits comfortably on the side of a south facing hilltop overlooking the river Lot 500 feet below and Entraygues - sur- Truyere. The magnificent valleys and hills give stunning views over this wonderful region of the Aveyron.

The renowned hill top village of Golinhac has a small supermarket, post office and restaurant nearby. This area is well known as a starting point for wonderful country hill side walks. Riverside Entraygues is 10 minutes drive and is well served by shops, a bank, post office and several restaurants and bars. Estaing and Conques, both listed as two of the 100 most beautiful villages of France are 15 minutes away. Rodez from Stansted is the nearest airport- an hour away.

Entry to the house leads up to the kitchen and dining area which seats 6 people comfortably. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, electric cooker and 4 hobs.
This sunny room has two French windows leading out to a balcony with table and chairs - ideal for alfresco meals. Two comfortable easy chairs by the south facing French windows allow guests to take in the spectacular views whilst relaxing in the sun.

Also on this floor are two double bedrooms one of the beds being a 4 poster. Adjacent is a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet

A narrow staircase from this floor leads up to spacious very pretty well fitted lounge with TV, DVD and CD. There are also computer services in this room..

Downstairs in the basement is the washing machine and tumble drier with an additional fridge/freezer. Bikes available for use by visitors are stored here. Ample parking space and oil fired central heating.

This very comfortable village house is an ideal base for walkers or nature lovers wanting to explore and wander any time of the year through these magnificent valleys and hillsides.
