La Valette is a very comfortable and spacious cottage standing in its own grounds with an 8x4 swimming pool. The cottage has been lovingly renovated and extended by its owner. It sits comfortably on the side of a south facing valley overlooking the river Lot 500 feet below and Entraygues - sur- Truyere. The magnificent valleys and hills give stunning views over this wonderful region of the Aveyron.

The renowned hill top village of Golinhac with its small supermarket, post office and restaurant is within walking distance. This area is well known as a starting point for wonderful country hill side walks. Riverside Entraygues is 10 minutes drive and is well served by an array of shops, a bank, post office and several restaurants and bars. Estaing and Conques both listed as two of the 100 most beautiful villages of France are 20 minutes away. Rodez from Stansted is the nearest airport an hour away.

The house has been imaginatively restored and with all modern facilities makes for a very comfortable and spacious house. It is accessed by a short sweeping driveway with ample parking near the house for ease of unloading the car.

Through the main entrance the kitchen is off to the left of the hallway and to the right is a very large double bedded room with its own ensuite bathroom with bath. Double doors from the bedroom lead out to the terraced garden. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, electric oven, gas hob and dishwasher and small table and chairs. French windows lead outside to its own terrace for breakfast dining in the sunshine.

Beyond the kitchen is a lovely sunny dining area with a large dining table and 2 French windows lead out to the pool and terrace.There is a small staircase off the dining room leading to a mezzanine open room- a good childrens’ play room with its own single bed. Downstairs and from the dining room is a very comfortable lounge with two settees, UK satellite TV and DVD player.
The lounge leads through to a study or sitting room and French doors out to the pool. Adjacent to the study is a toilet and shower room- very convenient for showering off after a swim. There is also a laundry room.

From the pool area you can walk up a small garden path to a lovely large sunny roof terrace. From the sitting room a staircase leads to two double bedrooms, both ensuite, one with twin beds and the other a double bed and a single bed. French widows open to its own small terrace with magnificent views of the countryside. This small terrace leads to the back of the house and opens onto a very large sun terrace which in turn leads to the garden and pool.

The facilities and spaciousness of this very large cottage will provide comfortable accommodation for those who want an exciting position in the glorious Lot Valley but without the cobwebs and spiders!!
