Known as one of France's loveliest villages, Bargemon is situated at an altitude of 1500ft and surrounded by delightful countryside with olive groves, with an abundance of shady trees and cooling fountains; the medieval village provides a peaceful retreat from the frantic world of the Cote d'Azur. But is still large enough to support a small supermarket, 2 boulangeries, a bank, several restaurants and cafes, art galleries, a pharmacy, swimming pool, tennis court and a hotel. Your life in Bargemon can be lived without ever needing to get back into the car.

We are pleased therefore to present this highly recommended delightful cottage set in an olive grove just below the village.

The cottage is part of a small estate which is shared by a larger mas (old farm house) beautifully renovated and occupied by a semi retired couple who happen to be friends of ours.

The cottage has a bright and sunny lounge and dining area opening out through French windows onto its own private terrace with an electric sun shade. There is a well equipped kitchen with 4 burner hob and combination microwave oven together with a dishwasher and fridge. The lounge has comfortable sofas and chairs and a wood burning stove which make it a delight to stay in the early spring and autumn. There is UK satellite TV and DVD player.

Through from the living area is an ensuite bathroom and a single double bedded room which also opens out to the terrace and the magnificent views over the wooded valleys.

The extensive grounds means that the visitors are never overlooked and leisurely strolls around the terraced olive trees make way for varied views of this wonderful part of the Var.

The stunning 12 metre pool and surrounding stone terrace are shared only by the house owners and family. The pool has salt water purification and is heated.

Grasse is 20 minutes and the major town of Draguignan 25minutes drive, the coast at St Maxime is 40 kms south.
