Selves is set on a south facing hill with dramatic views just 2 km to the medieval village of Espeyrac, which is on the pilgrim route to Santiago. Espeyrac has a shop, bar/ restaurant. The abbey /village of Conques, a world heritage site, is 20 minutes by car and Figeac, a beautiful, medieval town, is an hour's drive. The attractive, historic local town is Entraygues sur Truyere. There are excellent places to eat in Viellevie,Estaing La Mejanassere, Le Fel and Conques. The walking is outstanding with panoramic views over the Lot and the countryside beyond. Walking, canoeing, swimming in pool or river, medieval villages and towns abound. The Aveyron has not changed much for the last 100 years. It is an outstandingly beautiful part of France where you can walk, eat well and enjoy the spirit-lifting views.

The house has a large and beautiful south facing garden with stunning views across the Aveyron countryside. The pool is 11m x 5m and has  a salt water purification system. The four storey house sitting in its own exclusive grounds has been restored in the last three years by its English owners. There is a large kitchen with an ancient refectory table, fridge, double sink and dishwasher, gas hob and electric oven. On the next floor there is a good size sitting room with a large fireplace with antique furniture. Also here is Wi-Fi internet and UK satellite TV.  There are two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a large attic room which sleeps three (3 singles or a double and single).Oil fired central heating make it very suitable for Autumnal visits to enjoy the wonderful colours of these steep sided river valleys in late September and October.
