By Road
The quickest and by far the cheapest way to cross the channel now is on the new Speed Ferries service from Dover to Boulogne. It takes 50minutes and the charges cover one car and all its passengers. There are several routes to the region but as part of our service once we have received your booking confirmation we provided suggested routes including full details on how to find your holiday cottage. The drive time from Calais or Boulogne is about 10 hours not including stops for breaks or fuel.
Making the Journey Easier
We can recommend several "staging post" to rest and make the journey less arduous.
The flights from Stansted leave early which means that unless you live in the area of the airport, a very early start from home. We can recommend an hotel in Bishops Stortford which is about 10 minutes from the airport as an overnight stay. Here you can leave your car whilst away and the hotel will take you to the airport in their bus in time for your flight. On returning, taxis are outside the terminal to return you to your car.
