Isaguette is situated very close to the river Truyere and although nestled away in a peaceful lakeside valley, it is only a very short car ride to the medieval towns of Entraygues and Estaing.
This two hundred year old, oak beamed cottage has been lovingly and expertly renovated by local craftsmen to provide comfort and modern facilities, whilst retaining all the character of a stone cottage typical of the region. The first floor has been completely renovated with new oak flooring laid to all rooms, a newly fitted bathroom and handcrafted oak staircase leading to the second floor. The cottage is furnished to a high standard.
The accommodation consists on the ground floor of a large well equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, drinks refrigerator. In this kitchen/dining room there is an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. French doors lead to patio, and a staircase to the first floor. On the first floor there is a double bedroom with doors leading out to the sun terrace and swimming pool. Also there is a twin bedded room, fully tiled bathroom with bath, overhead shower, hand basin and toilet.
A staircase leads to the second floor where there is a twin bedded open plan bedroom, a double bedroom with en suite bathroom including shower, wash basin and toilet.
Outside the cottage on the ground floor level there are flowerbeds and a large patio area, ideal for eating alfresco, with barbecue, patio table and chairs. Steps lead from here to the front gate and the upper garden with swimming pool and sun terrace. The swimming pool and sun terrace can also be reached through the door from the double bedroom on the first floor so there is no excuse for not taking an early morning swim! The pool and terrace is in full sun all day and with splendid views, you can relax and soak up the sun or sit in the shade, or picnic by the lake and swim. There are two conoes with lifejackets provided for you to explore and enjoy this beautiful stretch of water.
There is UK satellite television, video recorder, and Wi-Fi Internet link. Heating is provided by a wood burning stove for use in the winter only and electric convector heaters. There is ample parking for two cars on the drive.
This cottage is the ideal place for a truly relaxing holiday whether you wish to soak up the sun around the pool or walk along the riverside with its dramatic gorges and eagles soaring in the sky. Wonderful.
